How we collect this data

IP Detection

When you visit our site, your browser sends a request to our server. This request contains your public IP address in the TCP/IP header. We read this address directly from the connection to ensure 100% accuracy of what is visible to the web.

Geolocation

We use a high-performance GeoIP database (MaxMind GeoLite2) to map your IP address to a physical location. This provides an estimate of your country, city, and timezone without requiring access to your GPS.

Client Fingerprinting

Your browser sends a "User-Agent" string with every request. We parse this string to identify your operating system and browser version, allowing us to show you exactly how your client identifies itself.
